Hailing from the small town of Burton, Ashley Fearn’s rapid rise through the underground music scene is a stark contrast to where he resides, in a hectic world where things couldn’t be more of a polar opposite.
Since pinning Derby firmly on the map once again since founding ‘The Bunker’, an event that has been recognized far and wide, rightfully so too for attracting some of the most established and up and coming names on both a DJing and producing scale. Names such as Marc Spence, Latmun, Tommy Vercetti, Jacky, GW Harrison & in the near future Cera Alba - hardly need any form of introduction with success on both a national and international scale.
Ashley’s impeccable beat matching skills, technical ability and carefully selected choice of highly charged tech house records have now seen him go from strength to strength with a variety of residencies being firmly secured for the foreseeable future. Examples range from the unique Birmingham based events such as VOID (Digbeth), a newly confirmed residency at HighSpot AfterParty (Central Hall), Secret Party Project and finally Forbidden Forest - where he has supported some of underground music’s most successful individuals, with names like Darius Syrossian, Skream, LEFTWING & KODY, Richy Ahmed & Solardo to name but a few.
Over the past few years, what Ashley brings to the table has been laid down on a larger and wider scale with records being mixed and big impressions clearly being marked at We Are FSTVL, Reach Festival, Strawberry Fields ’14, MADE Festival ’15, the highly respected London based nightclub XOYO, and supporting scene legend Roger Sanchez at DJ Mag live stream.
Finally, expect to hear a lot more on a production level from Ashley, as his hard work and unstoppable determination brought a more than acceptable reaction from the most recent ‘Bunker’ event when he dropped his unsigned track ‘Cut The Jive’.
