Having only DJ’d since 2016, the Jay Faded hype has swept across the bass scene at a tremendous rate, smashing shows across Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, and Southhampton with more dates wracking up by the second.
Inspired by his love of RnB, Jazz, Hip-Hip, Grime and Trap, his eclectic taste palette echoes throughout his productions; with funky bootlegs, re-envisioned takes on club classics, and a growing catalogue of sub drenched bass anthems, waves of support have quickly washed over the artist’s (still early) career.
His most prolific work to date came by way of a major collaboration with legendary lyrical spitter Champagne Bubblee. Their track, a twisted take on dubstep classic Sierra Leone, amassed over 140,000 plays in just under 4 months with numbers still heading up into the stratosphere. His mixtapes and other releases boasting similar figures too.
The BBC Introducing team and Kiss FM radio have also been quick to sense the Jay Faded buzz, with tracks regularly featured on Vato Gozalez’s ‘Dirty House Radio’ sessions. His ‘Dirt EP’ release performed exceptionally well via FooR’s own ‘YosH’ ident with Deeprot and 3000 Bass developing an immense fondness for his work too, praising and promoting it regularly.
His followers continue to grow as the young producer persists towards craft perfection, an imminent sensation who’s worked tirelessly to prove his deserved place as a bass scene powerhouse.
